Welcome to Windows Developer
This file describes how to install Windev for Windows NT.
You may be interested to know that a version for Windows 3.1 is
available in library 2 of the WINSHARE forum on CompuServe.
Minimum Hardware and Software Requirements
For this release for Microsoft (R) Windows NT (TM), a 386 PC
running the March 1993 NT Beta or later. To install Windev you
require about 650 KB of free disk space.
Installation Instructions
1) Change drive to the installation disk (eg. A:)
2) Type "INSTALL -n destination-directory"
where <destination-directory> is the full path to the
directory below which the WINDEV installation directory
will be created. Do not type a trailing '\'.
(eg. INSTALL -N C: or INSTALL -N C:\UTILS)
3) Read LICENSE.TXT in the WINDEV subdirectory to the
directory specified in step 2. If you agree to the
terms, continue...
4) Use Program Manager to add NT\WINDEV.EXE to one of your
program groups.
5) Try Windev and see how much more productive it makes you!

windev.exe - The executable program.

windevx.exe - DDE shell interface program.
windevx.txt - Readme file for windevx.exe
install.bat - Batch installation file.
file_id.diz - Description for bulletin boards.
ctl3d32.dll* - Microsoft DLL for 3-D controls.
* This file will be installed in your windows SYSTEM32 directory
if it does not already exist. Check if it's newer than any
existing copy, and manually update it if necessary.
